Ten research papers were presented during the 2nd Guimaras Research Conference held on October 16, 2025, at the Agri-Eco Convention Hall of Guimaras State University (GSU).

Research topics focused on agriculture, environmental management, and tourism featured researchers from Guimaras State University, BPI-Guimaras, and West Visayas State University.

The conference is one of the activities of the 2nd Guimaras Data Festival, held in line with the National Statistics Month celebration. It aims to showcase innovative research that contributes to the province’s sustainable development and encourages collaboration among universities, research institutions, government agencies, and stakeholders.

In her message, Vice Governor Cecile Gumarin highlighted the importance of accurate and relevant data in planning and decision-making.

“Subong ara kita sa National Statistics Month kag ang tanan-tanan nga data nga ma-gather naton are equally important man in decision-making sa aton panggobyerno. Indi lang simple nga data ang gina-collect naton through your research, kundi correct kag relevant man sa aton probinsya,” Vice Governor Gumarin said.
